Tron and El Dorado have announced a collaboration to pilot gas-free USDT transactions in Latin America. This groundbreaking initiative, which will run from October 7 to October 30, allows users to withdraw USDT from the Tron network to external wallets via the El Dorado platform without incurring gas fees.
However, it's important to note that there will be a limited number of free transactions available each day. As one of the leading stablecoin trading platforms in Latin America, El Dorado has successfully facilitated over 2.5 million USDT in peer-to-peer transactions and proudly serves a community of more than 270,000 users. In a noteworthy development, Tron founder Justin Sun revealed in July that the team is actively working on a gas-free transfer solution.
This highly anticipated feature is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of this year, with all costs covered by the stablecoin itself. Initially, this innovative solution will be implemented on the Tron blockchain, but plans are in place to eventually extend it to Ethereum and all EVM-compatible public chains. Currently, the circulating supply of TRC20-USDT has exceeded 61.8 billion tokens, which impressively accounts for 51% of the total USDT supply across all networks.
The adoption rates of this stablecoin are staggering, with over 53.65 million users and more than 2.037 billion cumulative transactions reported. This makes TRC20-USDT not only the most widely adopted on-chain stablecoin but also a significant player in the evolving landscape of cryptocurrencies and their transactions in Latin America..
